Resolve Eating Problems and Reach Your Natural Weight

If you’re tired of struggling with your weight and food, I can guide you down a new path. A positive path that begins with the understanding that reaching and maintaining your natural weight is about balance and making choices you can live with. It’s not about sacrifice, deprivation, or giving everything up.

Many clients initially tell me they aren’t sure I can help them because they already know a lot about nutrition.  “What are you going to tell me that I don’t already know?”  They say they know what to do but just haven’t been able to figure out how to do it — for the long term. When you meet with me, you are working with a professional trained to help you get where you want to go. Together, we will build a plan that is tailored to your unique needs. One that is different from what you expect or are used to.  One that is realistic, sustainable, and based on foods that you enjoy and that are readily available in your grocery store.

My clients include people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Some have gained a few pounds every year for years while others have developed a medical condition or started a medication that caused them to gain weight. Others are challenged by emotional eating, binge eating, compulsive eating, excessive exercise, bulimia, and/or anorexia.  Many have done some or all of the weight loss programs available in the Concord area- some have done them several times.

Because all of these people have different needs, no two clients receive the same plan. But every plan is designed to promote the enjoyment of tasty food, prevent feelings of deprivation and hunger, and provide a foundation for a lifetime of balanced, sane, and healthy eating.

Because eating problems are so complex and can be beyond the scope of my training, I sometimes suggest that my clients work with other professionals who are skilled at helping people with eating and weight problems.  I work closely with several psychologists, therapists, mental health counselors, and physicians in the Concord area to help my clients normalize their eating patterns.

Achieving Success With Food

Contrary to what you may have seen on TV or read at the supermarket check-out, reaching your natural weight and being successful with food is not something that happens overnight. I provide support, coaching, and guidance for as long as you need it. Some clients are successful in as few as 2 to 3 visits while others find that meeting every 3-12 weeks for years provides ongoing support, inspiration, expertise, and accountability- all of which helps them stay on track.

Life is too short to struggle with food and weight. I can help you learn to eat appropriately once and for all so that you can get on with living your life to its fullest.
