Insurance Coverage

Nutrition Works! LLC is a participating provider with the following health plans:

• Aetna
• Anthem
• Cigna
• Harvard Pilgrim
• Medicare

Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, and Harvard Pilgrim often cover nutrition counseling for a variety of conditions. A PCP referral may be required, especially if you are covered by Anthem.  Medicare only covers nutrition counseling if you have diabetes or kidney disease. Some Medigap/supplemental insurance plans will cover nutrition counseling for other conditions.  I am currently in the process of being approved as a United Healthcare provider. I suggest that you call your insurance company, or look through your plan’s materials, to answer these questions:

• Does my plan cover nutrition counseling?
• Do I need a PCP referral?
• Will I need to pay a co-payment or co-insurance?
• Do I need to meet a deductible before my insurance will pay?

Fees

• $120 per hour
• $325 for 4 hours (if pre-paid)
• $60 per half hour
• $160 for (4) ½ hour visits (if pre-paid)
